I am not sure if I'm supposed to post my cast assessment here, or with everyone else. So I will do it here, and if given the green light do the same over there.
Before that though, what is up with the overload of Arabia? Obv I love my original season and all, but I was SHOCKED there were four people from it. Especially considering one was Ginny who sucks [underage] dick and Vartevar who despite being a good player left on such awful terms. I wanna root for my Arabia people, but I can't be bothered.
Also, are we still not allowed to LIKE confessionals, or can we now? Just so we know the rules for us.
Aaron – I just realized I know Aaron. We were HUGE enemies in another series, it got super personal. We have moved on though. I honestly think Aaron has a good chance of doing well, in my experience he is much more of a follower than a leader which could make it hard for him to actually WIN the game. But from what I've read he seems to be trying to be proactive already.
Billy – I'm a huge Billy fan. He is down to Earth, funny, AND the type of gay who does not annoy the living Jesus out of me. I think he is going to do very, VERY good. I could easily see him winning, then again the game just started but I definitely see Billy as a force to be reckoned with, especially because he is already working with Sami. Which I feel is going to be a key part of this season as they are both outstanding players.
Chris – Chris Barkley is one of my favorite people online, he is HILARIOUS, and he talks a lot. I was SO excited when I saw he got cast into the game. I don't know how good he will do, as he could annoy people or people might see him as disposable [sadpanda] but he is going to be extremely entertaining regardless of his placing. Totally #teamChris to the end. Playing dumb can only take you so far, as I experienced during most games haha, BUT it's a decent strategy for the beginning.
Cody – I am SO glad he is doing video confessionals, because he is FAR more interesting when you see him talk than on text, his initial questions were a board. He has a nice smile too! I know very little of the legend of him and Allstars, but I like him a lot so far. Cody/Robbie alliance tho
I also absolutely ADORE that he is super strategic already and playing hard. I am beyond excited to see Cody play.
Craig – He said Alex is a cool sounding name so I auto-like him. Him calling himself garbage was weird though, I don't like when people apologize about the way they look or sound at the very beginning, it kinda just sets it up for the viewer to be like “Eh...” you set yourself up for failure. I learned this on a speech class, and it's totally super true. Like with Cody, his questions were boring, but his video showed more personality. I like that Craig says the whole fan and favorite label does not matter. Craig seems to have a good head on his shoulders, so hopefully he continued to do well.
Daniel – 22 fucking confessionals?! WHAT THE FUCK? I don't even wanna read through that. I have a lot of other people to read up on. A lot of them are conversations which I HATE, I am not going to read conversations, sorry not sorry. He seems... cocky. I don't know, does anyone else get the vibe that he is over confident? I feel like he is over-playing already, and judging by what others have said about him, I think he is not in a spot as good as he thinks he might be.
Debbie – She hasn't said much. But she seems excited, and also seems to understand proboards which is one of the bigger issues with “older” ladies in the series, right? I can't wait until she starts posting more, because I have a good feeling about her.
Dodds – He seems boring.
Eric – Isn't he adorable? Glad he gets to play because he was excited and he seems legit, hate the fact he likes orange tho cause EVERYONE knows that's the worst color ever. His answer to the bad habit literally made me LOL, I LOVE open people who give zero fucks
I like that he is more on the shy side, actually, he seems intelligent and even though his tribe is full of huge personalities I hope he can do good.
Gabe – Seems eager, way too eager maybe. A lot of the cast seems to be bad-mouthing him already. He has an alliance already and seems to be kinda confident on his position. I wouldn't be too sure, but I like Gabe so I hope he can do good.
Ginny – How is Ginny a favorite? The only favorite thing she did was get owned by me and Robbie then get pissed and throw a temper tantrum. She was nasty, so I don't really care for her. Like at all.
Jamie – I remember Jamie was amazing during Arabia, we obviously never kept in touch but I remember her with fondness, I like the vibe she has, and I wonder if she is gonna be any different now that she is a mom and has to act “grown-up”. Having Vartevar in the game... eh, not a fan of that because I remember last time she kinda followed him until he got eventually destroyed. I am rooting for Jamie, but somehow I have this feeling she is gonna be out early. Hope not tho!
Jeff – What is it with people posting conversations? I mean post snipets, but not the whole thing! Anyways, Jeff bored me. I think trying to target favorites it's gonna come back to haunt him.
Jose – I adore Jose, and I am officially predicting him to be the runner-up. Jose is def the definition of a fan turned fav which I love. I am rooting for him, but it worries me he is going to try to be super UTR because I feel it's gonna hurt him if he is more forgettable than some of the other faves.
Kelman – I highly dislike Kelman, every single one of his pre-game posts were incredibly entitled and even tho he KNEW he was going to get cast, he seems to think he is this hot shit or something. I don't like that attitude and I sure hope it catches up to him. His spreadsheet just SHOWS so much arrogance, he talks about voting out Jose for being more popular than he is, and “punishing” Robbie for being a former quitter, which he kinda isn't. I also think he is trying WAY too hard to be funny, and he isn't, so he can swerve to the next lane and GTFO.
Matt – I think Matt is kinda cool, but people seem to think he is super boring, so hopefully he gets better. He gets the benefit of the doubt tho because he is hot, and I would totally let him blow me. You are welcome for the mental image btw.
Nicole – Nicole, to me, is the surprise of the season. Everyone seems to adore her, which like is such a shock to me because she had like an awful social game in India. But she seems to have a really good game already, which makes me happy to see.
Robbie – Everyone and their mother know Robbie is my boy. I am behind him 100% throughout the whole game, he is an amazing friend, a great player and entertaining as hell. He is emotional as Hell which might be his one obstacle to overcome. However, he is super likeable and his social game is amazing, he is good at competitions and he rocks strategy. Robbie's biggest obstacle is himself, but he has grown up SO much that I think he can really handle this season and go very deep, if not win.
Sami – I absolutely ADORE Sami, she is probably THE best player I have ever played with. She has everything needed to win, she is just an absolutely fantastic player, and the fact people are ALREADY oogling all over her shows this. Her enthusiasm is so infectious and she is just... she is a Goddess, period.
Sassy – Sassy changing the location to new places in Asia all the time
She is SO entertaining, and a true favorite. I am more than thrilled to watch her play, like Robbie is my boy, she is my girl and I am gonna be behind her all the time. Yes, she is a trainwreck, but this season she seems determined to make something more of herself, hopefully she can put her feud with Ginny in the back-burner and people are not scared of her because she is known as a paranoid player.
Sheri – She hasn't said anything yet, but people have said A LOT about her. They say she is funny, but bitchy and a threat already. The chick is ALREADY viewed as a threat. She will NOT last. I would be shocked if she does after all the things people have said about her.
Tyler – Nothing. Literally. Damn.
Vartevar – He is already rubbing people the wrong way, which is hilarious considering that he seems so confident that he is a good place. I don't really care for Vartevar, he can be a very good player but the fact he is already having trouble connecting with people means he won't last at all. He is really easy to see through, and he is not very genuine so I def don't see a bright future for him. He is WAY over his head in comparison with the other faves and even some of the fans.
Should this go here, or in a separate episode 1 thread? Feel free to move it around if needed Sandy/Kirin.
